Road Closure to Impact SR 47 Near New Market

Cone Zone season is starting early for folks who live around the New Market area. The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a road closure that will impact State Road 47 near New Market.

Beginning on or after Monday, April 6, crews will close S.R. 47 between County Road 600 S. and C.R. 700 S., located south of Crawfordsville High School. The purpose of the closure is to replace a box culvert in the area. Construction is anticipated to last through June but is weather-dependent and subject to change. The official detour around the closure follows S.R. 234 to U.S. 231 back to S.R. 47.

INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution while traveling in and around work zones.
