CPD Investigating Incident at CHS

Crawfordsville Police are looking into an incident at Crawfordsville High School following a report of a student allegedly in possession of an explosive device.

Last week CPD Officers and school officials evacuated the school and took everyone to Crawfordsville Middle. The student identified in the complaint was located and removed from the premises. Searches of the school were completed by responding officers, along with K-9 sweeps conducted by the Tippecanoe County Bomb Squad. No dangerous items were found.

CPD would like to thank the Crawfordsville Fire Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, the Tippecanoe County Bomb Squad, and the Crawfordsville Community School Corporation for their assistance and cooperation during the incident.
