Arthur Franklin ‘Doc’ Pendleton

Arthur Franklin ‘Doc’ Pendleton age 77 of New Richmond, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 in his home.

He was born on the family farm near Waynetown, Sept. 12, 1945 to the late Burton and Freida Conner Pendleton.

He married Sandra Jane Hitch in Crawfordsville on Feb. 15, 1970 and she preceded him in death Oct. 5, 2017. He was a graduate of Waynetown High School and he enjoyed growing up and working on the family farm near Waynetown. He served two years with the US Army stationed in Colorado during the Vietnam War.

He was employed by Tipmont REMC 1973-2007 as a Senior Groundman and truck driver. He was proud to have traveled to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to assist in restoring power. He enjoyed his morning visits over coffee and breakfast and lunch with his friends.

Survivors include his daughter; Renee (Chad) Neukam of Vevay and his son, Darren (companion Stefanie Hulen) Pendleton of Fishers; two granddaughters, Kaidlyne and Kourtney Neukam; a sister-in-law, Carole Pendleton of Rural Crawfordsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy; brother, John; and sister, Grace.

Visitation hours are scheduled 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 and funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 with Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Burial will follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
