The Nicholson garden has been cleaned up, cleared off and put to bed for another season. Master gardeners were asked for help in reviving the garden on behalf of the students, and since then much has been done. The Master Gardener volunteers continue to support this as a community/club project with over 1,000 pounds of fresh produce harvested and donated to our local FISH food pantry this season and last.

The 17th annual Shopper’s Paradise “Holiday Expo” sponsored by The Montgomery County Extension Homemakers will feature Arts~Crafts & Commercial booths on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds located at 400 Parke Avenue, Crawfordsville. The Holiday Expo event is open to the public with free admission.

The City of Crawfordsville is looking for a few good men . . . and women. Currently, there are many open positions on our various boards and commissions that are available, and Mayor Todd Barton said he urges members of our community to become involved. The current list of eight Boards and Commissions for which the City of Crawfordsville has vacant seats are as follows: Airport Board, Board of Zoning Appeals, Historic Preservation Commission, Human Rights Commission, Plan Commission, Housing Authority, Animal Welfare League and Visitor’s Commission. In addition to these vacancies, appointments to other Boards and Commissions periodically need to be made.
