ATEAM Bench Dedication

The event was the Crawfordsville Middle School ATEAM partnered with the Zach Thomas Carter Foundation to collect pounds and pounds of plastic bottle caps to be melted down and reshaped into benches in Zach’s memory.  ATEAM collected enough for two benches in just four months.  The kids raised the funds, chose the bench colors, and plaques with quotes that were generously donated by a company in Veedersburg.   The 2 CMS benches were dedicated on Friday, Sept. 29 at CMS.  The ATEAM students led the ceremony even with a fog delay, the event was held in the LGI at CMS at 10:15 am.  Blake Carter, Zach’s brother, and CMS science teacher Shannon Hudson organized it.
