Franciscan Opens Wound Healing Center

The new Franciscan Health Advanced Wound Healing Center Crawfordsville is now open at 1710 Lafayette Road in Crawfordsville.

The facility will be open once a week on Tuesdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., by appointment only.

The advanced wound healing team at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville is a diverse group of medical experts comprised from units and departments throughout the hospital. Team members are assigned based on patient need and could include physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, dietitians and surgery staff.

The team of specialists at Franciscan Health Advanced Wound Healing Center Crawfordsville use clinically proven methods to achieve positive results for patients. Treatment may include a variety of traditional, medical, surgical interventions and advanced technologies, along with patient education.

In addition to treating wounds, the staff also provides patient and caregiver education, help with specialty equipment ordering, on-site access to take home wound care products. They also provide dietary screening and referral to a dietitian if needed, as well as access to hospital support services such as radiology, laboratory, physical and occupational therapies and outpatient services and coordination of wound treatment with other medical care.
