Walton L. Randles

Walton L. Randles, of Crawfordsville, passed away at home Saturday morning with his family by his side. He was 86.
Born Jan. 6, 1935 in State Line City, Ind., he was the son of Lowell Randles and Hazel Vibbert Randles.
He graduated from Covington High School. He married Cathie Hamilton on Jan. 6, 1996. She survives. Mr. Randles was a member of the Eagles, Masonic Lodge #50, and Eastern Star #97. He served in the National Guard. He worked for Interstate Sand and Gravel, Covington Community Schools and then became maintenance supervisor for the Crawfordsville School System. He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf and loved to eat. He also liked to sing and for several years performed in a country music band.
Survivors include his wife, Cathie Randles; daughter, Debra (Bob) Hole; son, Randy Randles; son, Rick Randles; daughter, Denise (Eric) Dismore; son, Todd (Julie) Randles; daughter, Michele (Richard) Burton; sister, Linda (Jim) Inman; brother, Dave (Mary) Randles; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jack, Mike, Terry and Larry; and one sister, Pat.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 at Burkhart Funeral Home and continue until Masonic rites begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by Eastern Star services. His son, Todd Randles, will then officiate his funeral service, after which he will be laid to rest at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
