Woman Stabbed in Ladoga; Man Facing Charges

Details are few, but local law enforcement are dealing with a stabbing in Ladoga.

Earlier this week, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was called to a house on North Bruce Street in Ladoga. The found a woman who had been stabbed multiple times. Police were told that Dale W. Sizemore, Ladoga, had reportedly stabbed himself and was inside the house.

Efforts to get the 48-year-old Sizemore to come out failed so the Montgomery County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT team was called and safely got the man out. Police say the 46-year-old woman was taken to a hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition. Sizemore was taken to an Indianapolis hospital where he was treated and later released. Police say he has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery while armed with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. He is also being held on a state parole warrant.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Crawfordsville Police, Indiana State Police, Crawfordsville Fire, Ladoga Fire, Walnut Township Fire and the Animal Welfare League.
