VSO Shares Update; Says Goodbye

Wow, we have had a blast of  winter weather – but it is winter.

We had a total of 71 phone calls into my office, and we had a total of 18 veterans for appointments this month and we had a Total of  31 veterans trips to their clinics and hospitals. 

I will be at the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. Come and meet the new Veteran Service Officer Nick Kashon. He will be at the same phone number as I was at. He will be in the same office.

Also if you are a veteran over 65 years of age please come to the Auditors Office in the Government Center. Please call (765) 364-6400. Please get this done before the end of the year 2025! Bring your last year’s tax papers to show how much you made.

Dan Taylor, the attorney in Crawfordsville, told me last week we have done 70 free wills for Veterans this year compared to 58 done last year. So if you’re a veteran and need a will, call Dan at (765) 361-9680.

Dec. 7, 2025 – Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day- The anniversary of the day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii , signaling the U.S. entrance into WW2.

Dec. 20, 2025  – National Wreaths Across America Day

Veteran Legal Clinic the second Tuesday of each month 11 a.m.-4 p.m., VA Medical Center 1481 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, Ind.N 46202 Auditorium AB-066 to eligible low-income Hoosier Veterans, service members and their families in non-criminal cases.

Now it is with mixed emotions that I must say GOODBYE to the Veterans and spouses of Montgomery County as I need to hang it up on Dec 30. However there will be a retirement party for me on Dec 20 from 3:30 to 5:30 at the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville. So if you can please stop by so that I may say goodbye to you personally.
