Germaine W. Lighter

Germaine W. Lighter, 69, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Rosewalk Village of Lafayette.

She was born in Vincennes, Ind. to the late Russell (Kathy) and Lorraine (Owen Trimble) Brown.

Mrs. Lighter moved to Linden, Ind. as a toddler to a Funeral Director Russell Brown. She was raised in Crawfordsville with her brother, Leonard R. Brown (Atkinson) and her parents.

She was a 1971 graduate of New Market High School. She worked at the Women’s Shelter, RB Furniture, Dr. Molin’s and for Sear Optical for years. She loved reading, writing and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, James D Lighter; daughter, Angela C. (Jeremy) Lawless; and two grandchildren, LilliAnn M. Lawless and Deegan C. Lawless.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell (Kathy) and Lorraine (Owen Trimble) Brown.

Cremation was chosen with no services planned at this time.  Hunt & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family.
