Barbara Ellen Davidson 

Feb. 14, 1932 – March 15, 2022

Barbara Ellen Davidson, 90, passed away on March 15, 2022 in Venice, Fla.  

She was born Feb. 14, 1932 to Jewell L. and Mary E. (Lame) Jeffries.  

Mrs. Davidson graduated from Ladoga High School.  On March 25, 1950, she married Laverne Davidson.  The couple and their four boys made homes in Indiana (Advance, North Salem, Ladoga and New Market) and Bartlesville, Okla.

After their sons went out on their own, Mrs. Davidson and her husband became interested in mission work. As a result, they met Illiana Giron, a 14 year old girl with big dreams.  The couple invited Ms. Giron to their home in New Market. She became a nurse, married John and had three daughters and one son that the Davidsons loved just as much as their own family.

Barbara is survived by a brother, Phillip Jeffries, of Ladoga; sisters Betty Brennan of Lebanon, Ind. and Rebecca Jeffries of San Diego, Calif.; sons Randy (Debi), Denny (Judy), Jeff (Kathy) and Malcom (Jan); grandchildren Katie, Jeffrey, Chad, Adrienne, Nathan, Anthony, Andrew, Ryan, Aaron and Ethan; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers James, Harvey, Robert, Ralph and Jerry.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., March 20 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Tom Jeffries officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Roachdale Cemetery, Roachdale, Ind.
