Honoring Those Who Made The Ultimate Sacrifice

Tim Brown

As we prepare for Memorial Day weekend, let us pay respect and remember the brave men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice so we may live freely.

More than 1.3 million members of our armed forces died protecting our country and its core values. On Monday, May 30, let us come together to recognize these American heroes and their families. Their selfless service and sacrifice on behalf of our nation and people merits our lasting appreciation.

While we can never truly repay this debt, we can pay our respects in other ways like visiting a military cemetery, museum or memorial. I also hope you join me in pausing for 60 seconds at 3 p.m. on Memorial Day for the National Moment of Remembrance to honor those who died serving our country.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend, and may God bless America and our great state.
