Patricia Ann Wills, age 89, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Oct. 17, 2021 at IU Methodist Indianapolis.
She was born in Warren County on Mar. 8, 1932 to the late Samuel and Helen (Rhodes) Pearson.
Mrs. Wills graduated from Danville School of Nursing where a local doctor paid her tuition for two years which had cost $287. She worked in the OBGYN department at Culver Union hospital and then retired from Ladoga Nursing home where she was the Director of Nursing. On January 8, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard Max Wills. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in January before his passing on August 25th. She attended Young’s Chapel Christian Church. Mrs. Wills and her son, Jim, published a book together which is a murder mystery. She was an artist that enjoyed drawing and she had her own line of greeting and Christmas cards. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and studying the bible and loved to work in her garden and flower beds.
Survivors include her son, Jim Wills of Crawfordsville; a special niece, Debi Wills of Branson, Mo.; brother, Don (Jane) Pearson; sister-in-law, Nancy Pearson; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; two daughters, Rebecca Lea and Beverly Kay; and three brothers, Dick Pearson, Merle Pearson and Bob Pearson.
Visitation is scheduled to be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gary Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
