Andrew “Andy” Sutton

July 29, 1976 – Nov. 5, 2021

Andrew Sutton, Crawfordsville, passed away on the morning of Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 after fighting a battle with cancer. He was 45.

Born July 29, 1976 in Greencastle, he was the son of Larry Sutton and Ralene Sutton. 

Mr. Sutton graduated from North Putnam High School in 1994. He married Rebecca “Becky” Layton and she survives. Mr. Sutton was a people person who liked socializing and having a good time. He was a member of the Eagles and also liked going to Francis and Mount. He worked at Acuity Brands Lighting for 24 years, starting in 1997. He was a fan of IU and the Cubs. Mr. Sutton also liked to play golf. Most of all, he loved his family very much.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Sutton of Crawfordsville; daughter, Madison Sutton; brother, Eric Sutton; two sisters, Julie (Stan) Hayes and Dena (Craig) Simmons; mother-in-law, Linda Layton; father-in-law, Don Layton; brother-in-law, Eric Layton; three nieces, Megan and Macey Simmons and Laken Miller; nephew, Brandon Chitwood; as well as many, many friends, co-workers and people he cared about that cared about him.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home. It will conclude with a short prayer service at 6 p.m.
