House fire on East Market Street

Crawfordsville Fire Department (CFD) responded to a single-family house fire on East Market Street at 11:58 a.m. Nov. 16, 2021. The fire was called in by a civilian while in the area who noticed smoke and fire coming from the east side of the home.

The occupants of the home were not present during the time of the fire. One individual was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The Crawfordsville Fire Department conducted an aggressive interior attack on the structure, and the fire was under control by 12:16 p.m. CFD was assisted by the Crawfordsville Police Department, and all units remained on the scene until 2:25 p.m.
