Downtown Party Night is the official beginning of the shopping season for Christmas in Crawfordsville. Not only that, but it very appropriately coincides with Small Business Saturday now. Angel Chavez and Doris Chavez of Chavez Kettle Corn were selling absolutely delicious bags of kettle corn next to the hay rides at Pike Place were. Diana McCormick and Elaine Chase of Athens Arts posed happily in front of some beautifully decorated Christmas trees. (Left to RIght) Calab Chastain, Max Edgecombe and Ava Schultz of the CACHE Student Council were taking free will donations for baked goods downtown Chet Walker of the Crawfordsville Police was helping pedestrians safely walk across the street and navigate traffic on and around the stores downtown. The courthouse Christmas tree shined bright like a beacon a winter cheer for all to see in downtown Crawfordsville. Doris Chavez of Chavez Kettle Corn was excited showing how big the delicious bags of kettle corn they were selling next to the hay rides at Pike Place were. At Four Seasons Local Market we found Jordan and Paige Gillenwater serving free samples with smiles Gina and Camden Haile were “Doing The Most Good” by being bell ringers and asking for donations for The Salvation Army. Harry’s Hideout was packed to the gills with customers eager to escape from the cold and sit down for a lovely drink or something to munch on. Healthies – Crawfordsville was all decked out for Party Night. From the Grinch to Christmas trees and shining icicles they really brought out the Christmas feeling. John R. Oilar was downtown offering beautiful quick portraits for only $5.00 at his booth. Julie Wood of JW Design in Crawfordsville celebrated Small Business Saturday with sales on all of the items in her store and a wonderful festive Mrs. Claus dress. Karla Bradley, Francis Lightle and Mary Grace posed for a picture in front of Karla’s art pieces downtown at her booth Matt and Rachel Stine of Oak Hill Tree Farm posed for a photo and wanted to use this opportunity to thank Sue Lucas for organizing. The law firm of Harding, Henthorn, Harris & Weliever took a cue from Crawfordsville’s past connections to the railroad with their window decorations. The Paper photo Tons of people were crowded around Milligan’s Flowers and Gifts to see their beautiful Christmas display. (Left to Right) Donna Taylor, Sharon Kenny and Jerilyn Yerkes were happily working downtown at Milligan’s Flowers and Gifts. Stacie Cook of Mea sculpa was selling her beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces at her booth in downtown Crawfordsville. Susan Rosen of Milligan’s Flowers and Gifts offered a lovely smile while helping customers package their purchases. Oak Hill Tree Farm provided hay rides from Pike Place to downtown. Santa Claus was caught on camera and after a merry greeting in downtown next to Pike Place he posed for a photo. He could be seen waving and spreading cheer all over downtown Crawfordsville.
