Jean Smith

July 7, 1929 – Feb. 24, 2022

Jean Smith, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Feb. 24th, 2022. She was greeted in heaven by her husband, Jack Smith Sr.

She was born on July 7, 1929 to the late Clarence and Maude (Cason) Lowe.

On March 13, 1948 she married Jack B. Smith Sr. He preceded her in death June 5, 2004.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt to so many. She served the Lord with her whole heart. She attended New Life Ministries and Grace and Mercy Ministries in Crawfordsville.

Survivors inlcude her six children, Jack Smith, Jr. (Linda Smith, deceased) of Lafayette, Carol Folck (Gary Gravens, deceased) of Noblesville, Donna (Mike) Jones (Richard Haltom, deceased) of Crawfordsville, Brenda (Dan) Tharp of Crawfordsville, Janet (Michael) Spencer of Crawfordsville and Jeanette (Shane) Cook of Crawfordsville; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and four siblings.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and nine siblings.

The funeral service is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at New Life Ministries, 1434 Darlington Avenue, Crawfordsville, Ind., with Pastor Terry Gobin officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
