Crawfordsville Kiwanis Awards Scholarships

The Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club recently awarded $1,250.00 scholarships to three students from area high schools. In the last twenty-two years the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club has provided almost seventy-five thousand dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors of the three Montgomery County High Schools.

Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization with over 600,000 members in 80 different nations. Service to children and young adults in our community is our priority and our vision is to motivate these young people into serving others. Scholarships provided by the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club are named after Pat Cline. Pat Cline is one of the most prestigious names when it comes to service in our community. Ms. Cline was a journalist, editor, and Viet Nam War correspondent. She was also the winner of numerous awards including a Pulitzer Prize Nomination. Ms. Cline was very active in our community providing service and leadership through her work at numerous service organizations. The Pat Cline Scholarships are awarded to graduates who have shown leadership in service and plan to continue service to the community in the future.

This year the club has selected the following graduates to receive this scholarship:

  • Morgan Swick – North Montgomery High School
  • Jacob Pike – Southmont High School
  • Lilly Klingbeil – Crawfordsville High School
