Lee Overfelt Announces Retirement from Crawford Industries After 25 Years

Lee Overfelt will be retiring June 3rd from Crawford Industries/Spartech after over 48 years of service.  Lee was hired October 15, 1973 to work in the Finishing Department as a Material Handler.  He gradually worked his way into the position of Extrusion Utility (Hopper Jockey) in late 1973 and remain in that role until June of 1974.  Lee was then promoted to Extruder Operator in 1974.  In 1976 he moved into Data Processing as a Programmer for a little over three years.  Lee returned to the Extrusion Department in 1979 and continues as an Operator today.  Lee’s experience with the company and with extrusion will be missed.  He will not easily be replaced.  Lee and his wife Melody live in Crawfordsville.  They have two children, Jamie and Ryan Overfelt.  Lee is a member of the Fremont Street Baptist Church.  He hopes to enjoy retirement by spending extra time with his family.
