Confirming Letter of Intent for Pyatt Homes –
The letter confirms that it is the intent of the Board of Commissioners of Montgomery County to construct an extension of Purple Heart Parkway from its current terminus at U.S. Highway 231 east to Ladoga Road. In order to facilitate the construction of the East Extension, the City of Crawfordsville and Montgomery County have worked collaboratively regarding design, construction, maintenance and cost-sharing for the extension project.
Confirming Nucor Overpass Local Funding Commitment Letter –
The County has submitted an application for federal funding for the construction of the Nucor overpass over 136. As part of the application, the County was required to commit to a local match. The letter indicates the County’s commitment to provide a local match of $5,048,496 and a local contingency match of $2,524,288. The funding source will be the new allocation area for a TIF District at Nucor Steel.
New Business
Lori Shaver – Request Road Closures for Ironman Race –
Approved.
Intermittent closure includes 200 West from 200 South to 300 South and 200 South from 47 to 200 West for the Ironman Raceway race to be held in October.
Amendment to Holladay Properties Agreement –
Approved.
Agreement modifies previous fee structure. As of June 1, 2022 the County agrees to pay Holladay on a time & material basis at a rate of $325 per hour plus any costs for materials with a not to exceed amount of $4,000 per month.
INDOT Unofficial Local Detours
US136 – Begins Construction 7/22/22 –
Approved.
INDOT will close US136 for small structure replacement on US136, 5.14 miles E of SR32/SR47 Junction, culvert over unnamed ditch. County approved INDOT’s proposal that Nucor Rd-CR500S be designated the unofficial detour
SR59–Begins construction 7/5/22 –
Approved.
INDOT will close SR59 for bridge replacement & HMA overlay minor structural, on SR59 over Little Raccoon Creek & 2.13 miles N of SR236 to SR47 (Town of Waveland). County approved INDOT’s proposal that 600 W-Waveland Road be designated the unofficial detour.
Appointment to Linden Carnegie Public Library Board –
Appointed Dale Waltz to finish Marty Utley unexpired term. The term will end November 26, 2022.
Ordinances
2nd Reading: Ordinance 2022-19: Establish PSC Vet Court Grant Fund –
Approved.
The $8,000.00 grant provides funding for the Veteran Treatment Court Program, specifically $4,000 for Training/Travel, $1,000 Participant Incentives, $2,000 Chemical Tests, $550 Transportation, $450 Emergency Housing/Housing Assistance. This grant runs from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
2nd Reading: Ordinance 2022-20: Establish PSC Drug Court Grant Fund –
Approved.
The $8,000.00 grant provides funding for the Drug Court Program, specifically $2,760 for Training/Travel, $1,200 Participant Incentives, $2,800 Chemical Tests, $800 Treatment, $440 Emergency Housing/Housing Assistance. This grant runs from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
