Athens Arts Offers Vibrant Opportunities To Engage The Community In Art

Would you like to try a different art medium? Gelli plate art may be the class for you!

A Gelli plate is a reusable printing surface that allows the you to make monoprints. Simply roll acrylic paint onto a plate that is a clear gelatinous slab. The paint is then manipulated to create unique art. The resulting prints can be used in many ways: as a substrate for other art, to create cards or to construct a collage, just to name a few.

Gelli plate printing is a fabulous way to create art, and you can easily get hooked!

The instructor will provide Gelli plates and all the other supplies needed for students to create designs which they will take home. This is a fun and casual class! Get a group together or try it on your own.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 7th. Choose either an afternoon session (1-3 pm) or an evening session (6-8 pm). Classes meet at Athens Arts, 216 E. Main Street, Crawfordsville, IN and are open to everyone 14 years and older. The cost of $35 covers all materials and supplies.
