Ivy Tech Lafayette Appoints William Woodson As New Regional Financial Officer

Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette has appointed William D. Woodson, Jr., as Executive Director of Administration. Woodson will provide administrative oversight of the financial operations of Ivy Tech’s Lafayette campus and surrounding service area that includes three sites located in Monticello, Frankfort and Crawfordsville. He will serve as regional financial officer and supervise Ivy Tech Lafayette’s $37 million budget, ensuring fiscal compliance to College and State of Indiana policies and procedures.

Woodson comes to Ivy Tech with more than 25 years of financial administration experience in higher education and the construction industry, having most recently served as Chief Operating Officer/ Chief Financial Officer at Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio.  Over his eight-year tenure he led a range of programs involving business and fiscal affairs of the university and was heavily involved in accreditation, strategic planning, and campus wide infrastructure improvements. He has also served as chief financial officer for Trotter Development in Indianapolis, and held executive positions in business, finance, and special projects, at Martin University in Indianapolis.

Woodson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, West Lafayette. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, Indianapolis. He has extensive experience in executive administration, financial and operational management, and strategic planning.

He is honored to be married to Aryca, who is a lecturer at Purdue University. They are proud parents to four exceptional children: Christian (17), Christina (15), Carina (4) and Clayton (2).  Woodson is excited to join the distinguished faculty and staff at Ivy Tech Community College and looks forward to serving the Lafayette community.
