The Rev. Danny Paul Ryan

The Rev. Danny Paul Ryan, 76, of Waynetown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022 at IU Arnett Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1945 in Crawfordsville to The Rev. Frank and Grace Durham Ryan Sr.
On July 5, 1973 the Rev. Ryan married Jane Jones. He worked for Lifetime Gate as a truck driver. He then retired from California Pellet Mill in 1992. Following his retirement, he went on to jointly own, with his wife Jane, DJ Enterprises, Ryan’s County Line Lounge in Waynetown, The Waynetown Dari-Bar, Cracker Barrel Restaurant of Waynetown, Dans 50’s Ice Cream Shop in Hillsboro and the Spartan Inn in Wingate.
The Rev. and Mrs. Ryan were Montgomery County Special Olympics Coordinators beginning around 1980 for over 10 years. He loved his Special Children and remained in contact with most of them.
He was a past member of the Waynetown Masonic Lodge and a current member of the Waynetown Merchants Association.
The Rev. Ryan became an ordained minister in 2003. He loved the Lord and served Him unconditionally.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Janes Jones; 2 sons Danny Paul (Lisa) Ryan II and Dr. J. Michael (Alex Guerrero) Ryan; step-daughter Kristy Crews; 6 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Stephen; and 2 brothers Frank Ryan Jr. and Patrick Ryan.
Funeral Services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelvin Copas officiating. Interment will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled to be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday at Hunt & Son.
