Virginia Anderson

Virginia Anderson passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1940 in Indianapolis to Harold and Oma (Bradley) Wright.

In 1958, she and David Anderson were married, spending 51 years together until his passing in 2009.

She graduated from Harry Wood High School in Indianapolis. She worked at the hospital in Crawfordsville as a Phlebotomist for over 25 years. She was a longtime member of Crosspoint Fellowship and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved collecting items and treasured her chicken figurines. In her younger years, she loved gardening and fishing.

Survivors include her two sons, Joseph Anderson (Kelley) and David Anderson (Sandy); one grandson, Brecken Anderson (Victoria); and one great granddaughter, Cora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Anderson; and two sisters, Coralee and Marge.

Cremation was chosen with a gathering of family and friends held on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 12 noon at Crosspoint Fellowship, with Pastor Chris Cregger officiating. A private family burial will be held in Oak Hill South Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Cross Point Church, 1350 Ladoga Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
