Kathy Ann (Weaver) Dominguez
July 30, 1954 – March 4, 2023
Kathy Ann (Weaver) Dominguez 68, of Crawfordsville, IN, formerly of Terre Haute and Waveland, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Ben Hur Health and Rehab after a 13+ year battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born at Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville on July 30, 1954. She was the daughter of John R. and Helen J. Weaver, who preceded her in death. Kathy grew up in Waveland, IN and was part of the first graduating class at Southmont High School in 1972. She received her B.S. Degree in social work from Indiana State University. She had worked as a case manager for Katherine Hamilton Center and Normal Life Centers of America. Kathy was an avid animal lover and saved many animals from euthanasia during her years as a volunteer and employee of the Terra Haute Humane Shelter until her diagnosis of Parkinson’s prevented her from being able to continue with her duties.
In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jimmy and a niece Anita Jo Weaver. She is survived by her brother John “Rusty” Weaver (Pam) of New Ross, nieces Jamie Weaver Snyder (Grant) of Linden, IN, Erin Weaver Shetler (Matthew) of Lakewood, OH, nephew Patrick Weaver of St. Meinrad, IN, 7 great-nieces Taytum, Amelia, and Georgia Snyder of Linden, IN, Esther Shetler of Lakewood, OH, Chelsie, Faith and Jaerin Weaver of Indianapolis, IN and great nephews Flynn Snyder of Linden, IN, William Shetler of Lakewood, OH, Zaeden Weaver of Tell City, IN, Max Weaver of St. Meinrad, IN along with many cousins and friends.
Kathy expressed a desire to be cremated with no services, and her family will honor her wishes. If anyone wishes to do a memorial to honor her life, contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Shelter, Animal Welfare League of Crawfordsville, or the Home for Friendless Animals of Waynetown, IN.
We also wish to express our sincere thanks to the Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation Center for their efforts to make Kathy’s difficult disease process as comfortable for her as possible for the 8 years she was a patient at their facility.
