Food and hospitality do so much more than fill your stomach. It’s a way to connect on all levels, it’s “Love, you can eat”.
The day shutdowns went into effect in 2020. We made two phone calls to see if unaffected businesses would be interested in supporting those on the frontlines. The answer was yes, and those were the only two cold calls made. Our community instantly started supporting the cause and asking how they could help.
In March & April, Truckers couldn’t enter truck stops, and they are the backbone of America.
Feed the FaM received national notoriety when we set up in a parking lot and fed the truckers by the interstate.
Feed the FaM founder, Isaac Weliver says, “We still quietly operate, feeding individuals, families, and institutions in need.”
For the past 2 years, we have served Montgomery County’s Community Christmas Dinner, feeding an average of 1,500 people on Christmas.
So far, Feed the FaM has provided over 15,000 meals and counting!
