Diana Marie Aveline

Diana Marie Aveline, 70, was born in Alamo and is survived by her two daughters; Violet and Annette Aveline; her father; and a sister; as well as two grandchildren.

She was a vibrant character who loved rock and roll and dancing, almost as much as she loved her family. Upon retiring from Alcoa, after 33 years of being a machinist, she pursued her lifelong love of sewing by starting her own business, Diana Stitch and Design. She loved to volunteer at the local children’s library, design costumes for local plays, and spending time at local nursing homes lighting up the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a baker, seamstress, motorcycle rider, dancer, lover of all animals, as well as, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a child of God.

There will be a celebration of life at Turkey Run on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 3pm until 7pm at the big long shelter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations made to their local animal shelter in memory of her dog, Lenny.
