Jump Makes A Splash

The JUMP Program is part of the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau. It is a mentoring program for kids to help support them as they grow and change into healthy, productive adults. These kids are matched with a caring adult and meet regularly to hang out and have fun.

One part of the JUMP Program is the free monthly group activities provided by the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau. The June group activity was a trip to the Seashore Waterpark in Lebanon, IN. It was a big hit for the kids and adults alike. Sara Clapp, the JUMP staff person stated “I went down the water slide and it was a lot of fun. The water was freezing but the kids didn’t seem to mind and had a great time.”

Each month the JUMP Program provides a different activity so that the volunteers can have an event to take their mentee to, if they so choose. Mentoring is a lot of fun and great for kids who need another positive role model in their lives.
