Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau
Youth as Resources, a youth-led philanthropic program of the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau, will be bringing back their annual Bingo fundraising event on Tuesday, June 27th.
Prizes will be Pampered Chef, Thirty-One and Vera Bradley items!
This bingo event is a crucial fundraiser as it finances the Youth as Resources grant pool for much of the year. The event will take place at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 27th from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $13.00 at the door. Extra bingo cards can be purchased for $5.00. Concessions will be available. You must be 18 to play.
All proceeds benefit the local community through grants and awards to youth volunteer organizations. These organizations need funding to complete projects that benefit people in the community and the community as a whole. Local youth groups receive funding by filling out grant applications and presenting their projects to our youth board. The board may grant up to $500 per project. Some of our previous grants include a project to aid teenage mothers, care packages to soldiers serving in Iraq, providing funds to get canned foods for FISH food pantry, and supplies to make blankets for Riley Hospital.
We are still looking for sponsors and / or door prizes. If your business would like to sponsor a purse or bag, provide door prizes or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Youth as Resources Coordinator, Cameron Cole, at 362-0694 Ext. 114 or by email at [email protected]
