Robert “Carl” Reamer

Robert “Carl” Reamer, age 85, of Crawfordville, passed away on July 10, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Sulphur Lick, Kentucky to the late Carl and Iva Reamer.

He attended Coal Creek Schools. He married the former Judy Wolf from Romney in December 1956. Together they had three children, Pam Cross, Ed Reamer, and Scott Reamer.

Carl was known by many and had his hands in several different side jobs over the years, where he made many friends. He was a “jack of all trades” kind of man. Carl retired from Fairfield Manufacturing in 1998. His greatest past times were scratch off lottery tickets and word search puzzles. He enjoyed the company of his cat, Pretty Kitty.

Carl is survived by his daughter Pam Cross; his sister, Nellie Robertson; half brothers and sisters, Ethyl Gildemier, Earl Heide, James Heide, and Marian Branch; 7 grandchildren, Kara (Caleb) Cornelius, Kris (Jennifer) Burton; Heather Larson Faulkner, Adam Reamer, Alesha Reamer, Kylie (Shawn) Hilton, and Katilyn Green; 8 great-grandchildren, Marissa, Paige, Haley, Adam Jr., Mariah, Grady, Maddie, and Joshua; 3 great-great grandchildren, Rylan, Teddy, and Everly; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy; both sons, Ed and Scott; brother, Harry Reamer; sister, Ruth Goodin; and his half-brother Frank Heide.
