August Veterans Newsletter

Well hello everyone in Montgomery County, I hope this finds you all well. The number of phone calls into my office were 46, and the number of visitors was a total of 17 into my office. We took a total of 7 veterans to their appointments.

I will be at the American Legion Post 72 on August 10 from 1-4 pm and anyone can come into see me. Call for an appointment please, and also at the VFW Post 1431 on August 17 and anyone can come into see me. Just call for an appointment at 765-361-4133.

Again, please come to the Darlington Armory on August 5 between 1-5 pm to wish MG Richard Chastain a Happy 90th Birthday. A special program starts at 2 pm with General Black and a proclamation will be given by our Mayor.

Please don’t forget about the Bricks Honoring All Veterans that are being done by the Veteran Memorial Park. The cost is $100 per brick.  I have the forms or go to the American Legion.

The Park Will be the Home of a Huey Helicopter along with M60A3 Cold War Tank and we will also be getting Gun Emplacement from the VFW in Greencastle.
