Franklin McCloud

Franklin Andrew McCloud, age 81, of Crawfordsville, passed away on August 17, 2023, at Franciscan Health Lafayette. He was born in Crawfordsville on June 10, 1942, to the late Harold and Dorothy (Minnich) McCloud.

Franklin attended Crawfordsville High School. He proudly served his county in the United States Army for over twenty years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #50, VFW, and The American Legion Post 72. He enjoyed talking and baking.

Franklin is survived by his son Franklin “Andy” (Traci) McCloud; two grandchildren, Cody and Savannah McCloud; a sister, Rosa Stonebraker; and several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Franklin was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Ann McCloud; four brothers James McCloud, Russell McCloud, Harry McCloud, and Robert McCloud; and a sister, Ann Lambka.

There will be a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery North on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:00 am. Military Honors will be given by the United States National Guard and Post 72 Honor Guard.
