Beverly Rose Hartle

Beverly R. Hartle, 73, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away on September 10, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Beverly was born on May 27, 1950 to Elbert and Elsie Wilson in Clinton, Illinois. After Beverly graduated from Darlington High School in 1968, being an active, 10-year member of 4-H and was the 1967 Miss Montgomery County 4-H Queen. She studied Elementary Education at Indiana State University.

She married James “Larry” L. Hartle of Jamestown, Indiana on July 20, 1969. After getting married, Beverly and Larry moved to Langley Air Force Base, Virginia as Larry started his Air Force career that spanned more than 23 years and involved seven moves, including three years in England. Beverly was a dedicated military spouse, while raising their two sons at various Air Force Assignments.

Her professional career started in Panama City Beach, Florida as an executive secretary for Chapman Architects. After settling in Georgia, she was employed by Georgia Pacific in Clyattville, where she was the Graphics Manager. Following her time at Georgia Pacific, she was the lead administrator and grants writer for The Haven, a women’s domestic violence shelter, in Valdosta, Georgia.

Beverly is survived by her husband Larry, sons Jamie (Joanne) and Jeff (Rebecca) and grandchildren Amy, Ryan, Joshua and AJ. She is also survived by her brother, Winston Wilson (Glenda) and her sisters, Elizabeth Crosby, Gloria German (Richard), Deborah DeFreitas (Tom) and Phyllis Neff and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Elbert, mother Elsie; brother, Joe Wilson; and brothers-in-law Richard Crosby and John Neff.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville from 11:00 am until the start of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oak Hill North Cemetery. Services will be recorded and available to view on Beverly’s obituary page.
