David Russell Eggert, Jr.

David Russell Eggert, Jr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 outside of Crawfordsville.  After battling cancer, Dave was able to spend his last few days in the home that he was building from the ground up, which will be affectionately completed by his family. 

He was born on November 1, 1973 to David and Shirley (Snyder) Eggert in New Albany, IN.  Dave attended George Washington High School in Indianapolis.  He worked for the Local 120 Laborers Union for over 32 years. Dave enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle and was the founder and president of the Scoter Boyz. He called himself “A modern day Charles Engle,” but we just called him “Bub.”  Dave was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and many longtime friends. 

Dave is survived by his siblings, Lisa Harr (Donald), Michelle Tierney (Richard), Crystal Eggert and Matthew Eggert (Candace); fiancé, Chris Windle, and her daughter, Haleigh, and her grandson, Brixton; and nieces and nephews, Tara, Tessa, Steven (Vanessa), Craig (Trisha), Morgan (Kyle), Marissa; and several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Trisha Harr.

Cremation was chosen with Sanders Funeral Care Crawfordsville entrusted with care.
