The Purdue Extension “Steps to a Healthy You” program is here to guide you through a five-session journey that makes healthy living both achievable and enjoyable. Classes are every Wednesday Feb 19th through March 19th from 5 to 7 p.m.
This engaging series focuses on the 7 simple steps to eating the Mediterranean way, a practical approach to adopting the Mediterranean eating pattern—hailed as one of the healthiest diets in the world. From learning how to “Change Your Protein” to “Rethinking Your Sweets,” each session is packed with tips, skills, and flavors to inspire a lifelong commitment to healthier eating. Each session combines interactive learning with practical demonstrations, including mindfulness skills, recipe demonstrations and hands- on guidance.
Participants will leave the program with:
- A deeper understanding of the Mediterranean eating pattern and its health benefits.
- Practical strategies to make healthier choices, like swapping out unhealthy fats, incorporating more fruits and vegetables, and enjoying whole grains.
