Groundbreaking Ceremony
The ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Wabash Community Center took place on the Wabash campus Saturday. From left, Kelly Taylor, CEO of the Montgomery County Community Foundation; Jack Engledow ’53, Scott Feller, Wabash College President; Cory Olson, Wabash College Board of Trustees and chair of the building and grounds committee; Ike O’Neill ’27, Clay Robbins ’79, CEO of Lilly Endowment Inc.; and Jay Allen ’79, Chair of the Wabash College Board of Trustees. The 56,000-square-foot building will serve as a community gathering space and will replace the 70-year-old Sparks Center. It is hoped that the Sparks Center will be razed this spring with construction to follow.
