Ben-Hur Health Earns Highest Score from State

Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crawfordsville, a member of American Senior Communities (ASC), has received a deficiency-free annual state inspection from the Indiana State Department of Health.

A deficiency-free rating is the highest score a senior community can receive, with only a small percentage of senior care communities achieving this rating each year. Communities are assessed on their staff to patient ratio, cleanliness of the facility, 100% compliance with state and federal regulations, record keeping, safety measures, dietary practices, overall quality of care, and more. Surveys are conducted by inspectors through unannounced visits. In addition to their inspection metrics, they conduct interviews with residents, family members and staff.

American Senior Communities CEO, Steve Van Camp, shared, “The staff at Ben Hur have shown that through close collaboration and constant adherence to our core values and standards of excellence, they are deserving of this recognition. We are proud of their accomplishment and congratulate every team member for providing excellent care to residents and their families.”
