Putnam County Offers Dine With A Doc
Senior Education Ministries, Inc. has scheduled Dine with a Doc the fourth Monday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon and on Feb. 24 the program will focus on cardiopulmonary services at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.
Dine with a Doc® is a free program for seniors to get to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch.
The Cardiopulmonary department at Putnam County Hospital provides comprehensive cardiovascular services that include: Cardiac Stress Testing (Treadmill, Nuclear and Echo) and Cardiac Heart Scans. Join in this as the Putnam County Hospital cardiac speaker addresses these questions:
- What is a stress test?
- How does stress affect your heart?
- What is a heart scan and how do you get one?
Come and learn about ways to improve your quality of life. A question/answer period will follow the discussion. The program will be facilitated by Ashley Lawson (Director of Valyrian Place) and Dr. Robert M. Shobe.
The hospital provides ongoing support and educational classes to meet the needs of the community. They are very pleased to be partnering with Senior Education Ministries to serve the seniors in the Putnam County area through the Dine with a Doc® program.
There will be an opening prayer and veterans in attendance will be recognized for their service and dedication to our country followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to start off the program. There will be various Health Care Providers present to share information about their services and provide Door prizes for participants to win.
