HHSB Donates $48K to Local Non-Profits

Hoosier Heartland State Bank celebrated its 10th annual Shared Values Awards recently, during which they donated $48,000 to twelve local non-profit organizations.

Women’s Resource Center (Montgomery County) was announced as the winner of HHSB’s 2024 Shared Values Award and received a $10,000 donation. The Women’s Resource Center is focused on providing support to women and families facing unexpected pregnancies. They provide resources like diapers, clothes, car seats, etc., as well as medical resources for expecting mothers, like ultrasounds, through their Crawfordsville clinic and their mobile unit.

The Shared Values Awards took place on March 15. It asks for public nominations of non-profits who share the same values and vision as Hoosier Heartland State Bank. A total of 805 nominations were received, nominating more than 60 different organizations in Montgomery and Putnam counties and beyond for this year’s awards. Marilyn’s Village (Fountain County) and Abilities Services Inc. (Montgomery County) took home second and third place, receiving $7,500 and $5,000 respectively. Both organizations are focused on serving those with disabilities and their families, giving them access to community and life skills.

“The Shared Values Awards serves as a remarkable opportunity to engage the entire community in uplifting our local non-profits,” Brad Monts, HHSB President/CEO, said. “It’s personally one of my favorite occasions to witness the profound impact these incredible organizations have on countless lives.”

Nine HHSB employee-owners were awarded for their outstanding commitment to the bank’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The awards were voted on by their peers, and each were given the honor of awarding a donation to a local non-profit of their choice.
