Democracy Group Holding Rally Here Saturday

Montgomery County Stand Up for Democracy, an informal group of Democrats, Republicans, Independents and others, is inviting our community friends and neighbors concerned about the state of American democracy in these troubled times to gather at Pike Place (125 S Washington St, Crawfordsville) from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Stand Up for Democracy encourages like-minded Montgomery County residents to come together for conversations about the issues facing us, to hear one anothers’ concern and to give public voice to them.

If you support our constitutional system of separate institutions sharing powers, the freedoms of expression, assembly and the right to petition our government, you are invited to stand up and have your voice heard.

Please plan to attend this event and stand up for our neighbors, our seniors, our veterans and the most vulnerable among us.

There will be local speakers and live music. Coffee will be served. Bring lawn chairs and umbrellas. We’ll stand up for democracy, rain or shine.
