Lena “Jeanette” (Cook) Pickett

Lena “Jeanette” (Cook) Pickett, age 95 of Crawfordsville passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Whitlock Place. She was born on August 25, 1929 to Scott and Ruth (Willets) Cook on her grandparents’ farm in Jasper County near McCoysburg.

Jeanette married Harold Pickett on March 30, 1946 in Goodland and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2001. Together they lived in Brook and Rensselaer until moving to Montgomery County in 1967. Having had a personal relationship with God, Jeanette attended Mace United Methodist Church. She worked various jobs in the area including Raybestos, Hy-Tek and also home health care.

Jeanette enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She made many quilts for her family throughout the years.

She is survived by three sons, Larry (Bev), Ron and Doyle (Shelda) Pickett; a daughter, Carla Bridwell; three grandsons, Mike (Brookanna) Pickett, Ryan (Hope) York, and Brett (Michelle) Pickett; 4 great-grandsons, Brody Pickett, Hank York, Wyatt Pickett, and Luke Pickett; three great-great-granddaughters, Piper, Nora, and Delanie Pickett; her brother, Scott Cook Jr; many nieces and nephews; and a special cousin Mari-Kay Chapman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son-in-law Rick Bridwell.
