Rain Didn’t Slow ‘Em Down

A group of committed citizens called didn’t let rain or chilly temperatures stop them from holding a rally Saturday at Pike Place. Montgomery County Stand Up for Democracy, an informal group of Democrats, Republicans, Independents and others, sang songs, held up signs and showed their support for our constitutional system of separate institutions sharing powers – as well as for the freedoms of expression, assembly and the right to petition the government. Montgomery County Democrats reported that about 150 people showed up. Joel David Weir and David Sparks sang “Good Trouble” and “Donny Ain’t Your Daddy.”
