Reduce Stress, Anxiety at Lunch With The League

Stress and anxiety can cause loss of sleep, over-eating, negative emotional regulation and impact our overall physical and mental well being, Fortunately, there are ways to manage stress and anxiety and create an environment of peace and well-being. 

Neil Schmitzer-Torbert will be the next guest presenter for Lunch with the League Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Church.  He has created Mindful in Moco an organization centered around the practice of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.  Dr. Schmitzer-Torbert, a Professor of Psychology at Wabash College, is an MBSR teacher who uses meditation and mindfulness techniques to help others manage stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and other conditions. Courses are taught by Dr. Schmitzer-Torbert at Quest for Balance, Crawfordsville, throughout the year.  Learn more about Mindful in Moco on its website, www.mindfulinmoco.com  

Bring your lunch and join the League of Women Voters Friday at noon as Dr. Schmitzer-Torbert talks about how MBSR can help us manage stress and anxiety and other conditions which can have devastating and debilitating effects on our mental, emotional and physical wellness.   St. John’s Episcopal Church is located 212 S. Green St.  

Lunch with the League is a free program offered in the public interest sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.
