Want to Run for Office?

Anyone thinking of running for public office, wanting to encourage a friend to run or just planning to support a favorite candidate is welcome to a Candidate Call-out meeting Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Public Library. The Montgomery County Democrats are hosting the meeting to answer questions about community concerns, campaigning, next steps and what it takes to be a candidate.

This is a casual information session, and attendees are not expected to declare candidacy at the meeting. Attendees will learn which local and state offices are up for election in 2026 and the job descriptions, deadlines, responsibilities and requirements for those offices.

All interested persons are welcome to attend.
