C’ville Baby is First of 2026

At 12:05 a.m., on Jan. 1, River Joseph became the first baby born in 2026 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

River Joseph, the son of Ivy Green and Jacob Joseph of Crawfordsville, Ind., weighed in at 5 lbs. pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 17 ½ inches.

For being the first baby born at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, the family received a gift basket of baby-related items from the Franciscan Health Auxiliary Lafayette and the hospital gift shop.
