Local Cub Scout Pack 909 Honored
Cub Scout Pack 909 recently honored five local fifth graders for completing their Arrow of Light requirements to finish the Cub Scout program. The ceremony took place during the Blue and Gold Banquet that celebrated the 115th birthday of Scouting at the Masonic Cornerstone in Crawfordsville. Members of the scouting and local communities were present to take part in the celebration.
All five scouts chose to advance to the troop level and also participated in a crossover ceremony. Leaders and members of Troops 247 / 365 presented them with neckerchiefs and other uniform embellishments to mark the occasion.
To wrap up the evening, a Beading Ceremony was held for two leaders from Pack 909 – Jennifer Shon and Amanda Sanders – for completing the Wood Badge program. Wood Badge is an advanced leadership training course offered by Scouting America.
Cub Scout Pack 909 is sponsored by the American Legion Post 72 and meets on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m.
