Crawfordsville Airport Signs With Starlin Air

Crawfordsville Regional Airport and the City of Crawfordsville announced that as of March 1, aircraft rental, flight training and aircraft maintenance services will be provided by Starlin Air LLC.

Since 2015, the airport has been committed to delivering cost-effective, high-quality aircraft rental, flight instruction and maintenance services to the aviation community. This transition reflects the airport’s continued dedication to safety, service, and long-term sustainability, while positioning these aviation services for future growth under private management.

Owned and operated by Dustin Starlin, Starlin Air LLC was selected as a partner because of its proven commitment to innovative ideas, safety, and quality service within the aviation and Crawfordsville communities. The airport has worked alongside Starlin Air since May 2018, leasing its aircraft for rental and instruction services.

Importantly, there will be no disruption in service. The team that customers knowand trust remains in place. Current flight instructors Drew Hanna, CFII, and Dustin Starlin, CFI, as well as mechanic Richard Rodriguez, A&P IA, will transition to Starlin Air LLC. Dustin Starlin has worked at the Airport since 2016 in airport operations, aircraft maintenance, as a flight instructor, and as owner of the existing rental aircraft, N737QP. No jobs will be lost as part of the transition.

Airport Manager Lori Curless said the move represents a natural next step in the airport’s evolution. “Since the airport assumed management of aircraft rental, flight instruction, and aircraft maintenance in 2015, we have been committed to providing practical, exemplary service at a reasonable cost, with safety always at the forefront,” said Curless. “As we enter this new chapter, we remain focused on what matters most: safe and convenient infrastructure, outstanding customer service, and economic benefits for our community. Stalin Air has been an excellent partner over the past eight years, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”

This new structure strengthens long-term sustainability while protecting municipal resources and allowing aviation services to grow with focused leadership.

Dustin Starlin, owner of Starlin Air LLC, said the company is eager to build upon the foundation already established at the Airport.

“Starlin Air is incredibly excited about this next chapter for the aircraft maintenance shop and flight school at the Crawfordsville Regional Airport,” said Starlin. “This transition allows us to build on the strong foundation that’s already in place while investing in improved services and expanding flight training opportunities for the local aviation community. We believe this is the right step forward for our customers, our students, and the city, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community with the same commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.”
