Joshua Carl Chieppo, 35 of Crawfordsville passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
He was born in Crawfordsville on March 3, 1983 to Phil and Mel (Birdsong) Chieppo.
Mr. Chieppo attended North Montgomery High School and received his associate’s degree in applied science from Ivy Tech. He worked at Inland Container and most recently was a journeyman lineman for Linden Tipmont REMC for the last eight years and attended Calvary Chapel of Crawfordsville.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, and “beating on junk.” He loved doing everything with his children, racing ATV’s, playing badminton, and just being with them.
He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend and will be missed by so many.
He married the love of his life, Nikki Jo Dixon, on June 11, 2005 in Crawfordsville and they have three beautiful children together; their daughters, Darzy and Shelby; and son, Hunter.
Survivors also include his parents, Phil and Mel Chieppo; a sister, Kaci (Nick) Hoskins; grandmother, Lois Birdsong; mother-in-law, Lori (Dan) Pickett; father-in-law, George (Paula) Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, R.C Birdsong and grandparents, Tony and Julia Chieppo.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services are scheduled at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Keesee officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill South Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Chieppo’s Children’s College Fund, 315 S Washington St, Crawfordsville.
