Marilyn Jane Voorhees, 79 of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, March 15, 2019 at Ben Hur Health.
Mrs. Voorhees was the daughter of Lloyd Williams and Nellie Reynolds Williams.
Mrs. Voorhees graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1957 and attended Indiana University. She married Dallas McLaughlin who passed away in 1984. She married James “Jim” Voorhees in 1986, who still survives.
Mrs. Voorhees worked as a secretary in a local insurance office before becoming a teacher’s aide, mainly at Hose School. She loved to sew and do needlework. She and her husband, Jim, would travel all over the country and enjoyed it very much.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Jim Voorhees include two sons, Steve (Diane) McLaughlin and Mark McLaughlin; grandson, Kyle (Amber) McLaughlin; and granddaughter, Emily McLaughlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and a sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Burkhart Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Pastor Darla Goodrich officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery South. Family and friends may pay their respects two hours prior to service.
