Patrick “Pat” McCormick, 70 of Crawfordsville passed away at home.
Born Feb. 11, 1949 in Crawfordsville he was the son of Ralph McCormick and Jessie Bass McCormick Metsker Grimes.
He graduated from Crawfordsville High School, class of 1967. Mr. McCormick loved to tinker and invent. He was a free-thinking “outside-the-box” type of guy that encouraged his family to do the same. He was a member of the Elks, Masonic Lodge and Vietnam Veteran’s Association. He served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. After coming home, he started work at the McCormick-Metsker Agency and sold real estate. He opened the McCormick Companies, doing electrical, heating and air, and alarms. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.
Survivors include a son, Ryan “Pete” McCormick (Cindy); daughter, Kristen “Ciss” Romanovich (Chip); three granddaughters, Elyse, Emily and Olivia Romanovich; mother, Jessie Grimes; three brothers, Mike McCormick (Nancy), Tim McCormick (Cindy), Tom McCormick (Nita); step-brother, Laine Metsker (Sherry); and several nieces and nephews.
